Each expression from the Iberian Series celebrates the Lustau Edition side of the Redbreast family, exploring the casks, flavours and aromas of this region.

Tawny Port Edition represents a small batch Redbreast aged between 8-10 years that has been recasked and finished in a collection of sublime Tawny Port Hogsheads.

It’s no secret that Redbreast owes a great deal of its character to the Iberian peninsula, and the sun-drenched bodegas of Spain and Portugal. This time, Redbreasts adoration for their southern collaborators is pointed at Tawny Port, and the sun-kissed fruit notes of this celebrated Portuguese fortified wine.

So What's It Like??

Aroma: Sweet and warming confectionery notes of buttered pastry accompanied by aromas of caramelised almonds with subtle undertones of praline and dried cherry. Scented fl oral honey with whisperings of a delicate herbal character linger in the background while the seasoned oak and pot still spices accentuate the sweet and full-bodied nature of this wonderfully balanced whiskey.

Taste: Rich and nutty at fi rst with notes of chocolate coated hazelnut and salted caramel, quickly followed with fresh plums and dried fi g. The tannins’ soft presence works in harmony with the luscious and creamy texture, evoking notes of orange marmalade with delicate hints of toasted oak.

Finish: Lingering fi nish which sees the pot still spices and fruits slowly fading, leaving the tawny seasoned oak to have the last word.
