Hinch Irish Whiskey unveiled its latest "orchestra of excellence," the Hinch 15-year-old Irish Whiskey, which was finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. Renowned actor James Nesbitt, introduced this exquisite whiskey on March 1st. As the sole distributor across all 32 Counties, we offer exclusive access to this limited production, comprising of just 132,000 bottles globally.

The 15-year-old Sherry Cask Finish Batch 1 is crafted by blending 2003 malt whiskey aged in ex-bourbon casks with a year of finishing in 1st fill Oloroso sherry casks, and 2008 grain whiskey matured in ex-bourbon casks with a two-year finish in Oloroso hogsheads. This limited batch release, bottled at 46% ABV, remains non-chill-filtered to preserve its natural colour, making it a truly rare discovery.

Tasting Notes

Nose - The olfactory senses are delighted by a harmonious blend of aromatics that skillfully combine spicy and fruity elements. Taking a deep breath uncovers the strong essence of charred oak, providing a solid base beautifully enhanced by the subtle, almost ethereal fragrance of pear drops.

Palate - The whiskey delicately caresses the palate, revealing its full-bodied richness with a diverse array of flavours. Luxurious dried fruits mingle with warm wood spice, creating a complex and sophisticated taste. Toasted notes and hints of candied orange add depth and brightness to the experience.
