New Arrivals From Cahors

This is the last update you will receive from us from Chatham Street. The next time we'll be in touch will be from our new home on 4 Harry Street. The fit-out is progressing along nicely, and we're starting to resemble a mighty fine shop. You can have a look at some of the progress here.

With our wine supply currently between 3 different premises, keeping track of everything is proving tricky. We recently took in some stunning wines from Cahors, and it was only as we went to move them, we realised we hadn't introduced them to you. Bottle quantities are low as they are proving exceptionally popular with our walk-in customers, but we will be fully restocked soon.
These fleshy, harmonious and rustic wines come from Domaine du Prince who have been producing wines for over 3 Centuries. They do not use any yeast or aromatic additives for quality purposes, they are all vegan and fabulous, and are regularly rewarded for their quality. They're fit for a Prince!

Domaine du Prince, L'Envol du Prince, Cahors 2019

€22.95

Made with 100% Malbec, L'Envol du Prince is fleshy, harmonious and rustic. With variants in the process of time, it smells of blackberry, blackcurrant, truffle and undergrowth beyond natural qualities owing to the soil, climate and grape varieties. In the mouth, it is frank and fruity.
We would recommend serving this with meat, a good BBQ or cheese courses.

Domaine du Prince, Le Chêne du Prince, Cahors 2019

€29.95

A quality, tannic, full-bodied Malbec. Powerful and elegant on the nose, harmoniously combining black fruit pulp aromas, with stone fruits with some liquorice touches. There's a vivid attack in the mouth, steady but not aggressive tannins and lots of red fruits. It can be aged up to 10 years and is the perfect accompaniment to game or cheese courses after decanting.

Domaine du Prince, Le Jeu, Tannat, 2017

€31.95

This is everything a Tannat should be; on the nose, it is quite powerful showing aromas of smoke, blackcurrants, ripe plums, pencil shaving, tobacco and a hint of earthiness. The wine is full-bodied on the palate with highlighted tannins and a lot of complexity. The finish is very long and very pleasant.

It will complement rib-eye steak, gamy dishes, especially wild boar and venison, and strong and aged cheeses.

Domaine du Prince, Rossignol, Cahors 2020

€31.95

Rossignol is 100% Malbec and has a brilliant dark purple colour, on the nose it's powerful with aromas of violet and then fennel. The mouth is oily with steady and powerful tannins, red fruits and a long finish. It can be aged for up to 15 years and should be served with game or cheese courses after decanting.

Domaine du Prince, Lou Prince, Cahors 2017

€49.95

A bold wine packed with dense fruit similar to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, between softness and power, it is voluptuous and smooth and demonstrates power with finesse. It is intensively full-bodied with a mellow structure. The nose is very open with delicate aromas of currant, violet and a bit of fennel. Very long finale with woody, toasty and spicy notes.
