Deliciously concentrated with notes of cherry and ripe currants, this has a medium intense nose that develops very smoothly into a velvet-textured palate. There is a refreshing bitter-sweetness at the back of the tongue, which allows for an amazing ability to be paired with loads of food types as well as for enjoyment on its own. This is really well-made and has great style and elegance for which you would normally have to pay a good deal more.

Critics Review | May 4, 2020 Casa Emma Chianti Classico (92 points ) Shows terrific Sangiovese character, delivering black currant, black cherry, graphite, leather and leafy tobacco aromas and flavors. The tannins have a stranglehold on the finish now, but this displays purity. Needs time for the two halves to come together. Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera. —Bruce Sanderson Tom Doorley: 26/04/2020 - A brilliant producers entry level wine but what a wine! Bittersweet dark cherry, a racy backbone of acidity, silky and savoury. A steak tagliata anyone? |
