A few weeks ago, a customer asked us if we could track down a particular bottle of wine for them. When they told us the name, we weren't entirely sure they weren't taking the proverbial. The wine in question? Little Fuck Malbec. Despite being slightly apprehensive about asking around for it, we managed to find it. Naturally, we had to taste it. We were so impressed with it we ordered a pallet. The name might raise an eyebrow, but the wine will have you reaching for another bottle. With a cheeky name and bold taste, this is a wine that will not be forgotten. This is a genuinely great Cahors Malbec and not a novelty wine that also happens to make a brilliant gift or a guaranteed talking point around the dinner table.

The name might raise an eyebrow, but the wine will have you reaching for another bottle. This is a bold, characterful Malbec from Cahors, packed with ripe plum, blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry, with supple tannins and a wonderfully long, silky finish.

Made by fourth-generation family producer Vignobles Vellas, it comes from Cahors in southwest France, the historic home of Malbec. While tradition remains at the heart of Vignobles Vellas, creativity is very much part of their identity. Nicolas has brought a contemporary and sometimes playful approach to the family business, combining expressive, characterful wines with imaginative packaging and memorable names. Behind the eye-catching presentation, however, is a serious commitment to quality, authenticity and wines that reflect their origins.
