Fingers crossed Storm Amy doesn't shake things up too much for you. With town so quiet, it gave us the perfect excuse to give our cellar a proper spring clean well, autumn clean, and you'll never guess what we found down there (so far) .... three long lost gems that we thought were gone. So good we bought a whole barrel at the 2019 Hospices de Beaune Auction! A whopping €12.27m of fine Burgundy passed under the hammer; there were 589 barrels on auction, 471 red and 118 white comprising of 50 different cuvées, 33 red and 17 white and Paul was blessed with a successful bid. This Raymond Cyrot Pommard is a classic wine, structured and intense. Shining red robe colour. It has an intense nose of black berries with hints of mild spices. A rather fresh and structured mouth follows, with a fine density. Beautiful potential.
