Amai By Viktor - Brazilian Roots In Irish Soil

Amai By Viktor - Brazilian Roots In Irish Soil

  • by My Store Admin

Open & Thriving

Many of you already know that when we moved to 4 Harry Street just over two years ago, we had an empty basement and top floor. Our intention was to turn the basement into a "Tasting Cellar" and the top floor into a fine dining restaurant. The cellar was converted quite some time ago, and we're delighted to now let you know that the restaurant is open and thriving. We partnered with an exceptionally talented chef, Viktor Silva, and a seasoned hospitality guru, Alex Radu to open Amai By Viktor

A little over a month ago we had the pleasure of being one of the first few people to dine in what we can only describe as a stunning new addition to Dublin's culinary scene. We found that not only were the Brazilian inspired dishes to die for, the service was impeccable too. On July 25th we officially opened our doors to the public and the reviews have been amazing. While we may be a little biased, here's some of what can be found on Open Table & Google.

"From the moment we walked into Amai by Viktor, we knew we were in for something special"

"Just wow. New restaurant on grafton street, try and you will see what I am talking about."

"An Unforgettable, Delightful Journey"

"Blown away by the quality and professionalism of this place! I totally recommend it for anyone wanting a great local food experience."

"Michelin star level!!! Food is top class!!! Can't wait to go back again!"

"Finally something new and unique in Dublin, the food is so good and authentic."

"Exceptional new addition to the dining scene in Dublin!"

Head chef and patron Viktor Silva grew up in the favelas in Brazil and learned to cook to survive. (He has also hand-drawn the favelas on one of the walls.) Somehere along the way, cooking became a passion for Viktor. After years of hard graft, it's quite emotional to see him standing at his own pass, smiling from the beginning to the end of service.

General Manager and Patron Alex Radu creates an unforgettable experience for every guest. His passion and flair for the industry really shine through. In recent weeks this dynamic duo have caught the attention of some well-known foodies who have also been lavish with their praise for the restaurant.

Yesterday Lisa Cope from All The Food summed up her experience by saying "Take our advice - book Amai by Viktor now before the Michelin men and national critics write about how impressive, unique and exciting it is, and those window seats become a lot harder to secure."

Lisa's full review can be read here

Last week Joanne Cronin, who writes for The Irish Times, published a review on her Substack "Ocras" concluding that "Sitting back in our seats, our immediate reaction was to reflect on how absolutely pleasant the whole experience had been. The combination of very competent and well-priced cooking, lovely staff and an elegant dining room certainly exceeded my expectations."

Joanne's full review can be read here

With the big "C" just over 4 months away, Amai will be open for Christmas parties, or if you're looking for a gift option, they are now selling vouchers.

We wish Viktor, Alex and all the team at Amai By Viktor all the success they deserve as they continue to live their dream.
