Whiskey & Words Event - June 18th 7pm
Join us on the 18th June at 7.00pm for an intimate and unmissable evening where whiskey and spoken word intertwine, as they have for generations.
The evening will feature three standout voices from Ireland’s spoken word scene: Kev “Heavy Kevvy” Kennedy, Emmet O’Brien and “The Poet Geoff” Finan. (More about our speakers below)
Each artist will perform their own distinctive blend of spoken word and poetry, while guests enjoy a curated selection of Irish whiskeys from the Beam Suntory portfolio. Expect pours from Tyrconnell and Connemara Single Malts, with Beam Suntory Brand Ambassador Josh McMahon-Smith on hand throughout the evening to guide guests through the whiskeys and the stories behind these historic brands.
Each ticket also includes a €10 voucher redeemable against all Tyrconnell and Connemara whiskeys.

Kev Kennedy:
'Heavy Kevvy' is a poet and spoken word artist from Dublin. His work focuses on topics of family, friends love and struggle.
Kev has been gigging around Ireland since 2022. Sharing the stage with some of the best spoken word performers in the country. Kev has performed at the last 3 Electric Picnic Festivals.
As well as performing in the UK and most recently representing Ireland in the European Poetry Slam Championship 2025 hosted in Berlin.
Emmet O'Brien:
Emmet O Brien is a celebrated voice in Ireland's spoken word scene, Emmet is known for his viral performances such as The North Side and Dirty Dublin, as well as several acclaimed books.
He has performed across many festivals such as Electric Picnic, not to mention a sold-out headline show at Whelans and a recent event for Dublin 8 at The National Stadium along side Donal Fallon & Damien Dempsey amongst others.
Geoff Finan:
'The Poet Geoff' is an acclaimed Dublin poet whose work bridges art, activism and the everyday pulse of the city. A former Writer in Residence for Dublin City Council, he has been commissioned to write for national commemorations, social justice campaigns and major arts festivals.
His words have reached global audiences through film, television, and performance, from Amazon Prime documentaries to RTÉ airwaves. Known for his raw honesty and lyrical craft, Geoff brings a voice both intimate and incendiary to every stage he graces.
