Zweigelt is the most popular red wine variety in Austria and is characterised by its cherry fruit and a soft juicy style. The Pittnauer family managed by 4 winegrowing generations run a 17 hectare vine plantation. The vineyards cover 40 % white vines and 60 % red vines. The white wines are refrigerated, fermented and stored in stainless steel tanks. Whereas red wines are produced in small and big wood barrels.
