Thierry Germain has been at the helm of Domaine des Roches Neuves since 1992, when he left Bordeaux for the Loire and settled near Saumur. Over the years he has become one of the region's most respected winemakers, with a particular talent for producing expressive Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc that put the vineyard firmly centre stage. Today the domaine covers around 23 hectares and is farmed organically and biodynamically, with great attention paid to soil health, biodiversity and allowing the character of each individual site to shine through.
