Nestled on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Castiglione di Sicilia, Tenuta Ferrata cultivates native Sicilian grape varieties on mineral-rich volcanic soils at around 650–680 metres above sea level. The combination of volcanic terrain, cool mountain climate and significant day-to-night temperature variation produces wines with remarkable freshness, elegance and complexity. The estate focuses on expressing the unique character of Etna through traditional varieties, with Nerello Mascalese taking centre stage.
