Vignobles Vellas is a fourth-generation family wine producer whose story began in 1929 in the heart of the Languedoc in southern France. Based at Mas du Pont, near Montpellier between Pic Saint-Loup and the Mediterranean, the Vellas family has deep roots in the region and a long history in both viticulture and agriculture.

Today, under the direction of Nicolas Vellas, the family has grown from an original 13 hectares of vines to around 350 hectares across 14 estates, encompassing an impressive range of terroirs throughout the Languedoc and southern France. The majority of their vineyards are organically farmed, reflecting the family's strong connection to the land and commitment to its preservation.

While tradition remains at the heart of Vignobles Vellas, creativity is very much part of their identity. Nicolas has brought a contemporary and sometimes playful approach to the family business, combining expressive, characterful wines with imaginative packaging and memorable names. Behind the eye-catching presentation, however, is a serious commitment to quality, authenticity and wines that reflect their origins.
