Château Patache d’Aux in the northern Médoc, has a history dating back to the 18th century, with the first harvest recorded in 1720. Situated just 10 kilometres from the Gironde estuary, the name ‘Patache’ has a dual meaning, referring to the maritime customs vessels that patrolled the estuary and the stagecoaches, depicted on the label, used to transport noblemen.
