Pormenor is a small, independent winery in Portugal’s Douro Valley, founded by winemaker Pedro Coelho. The focus is on crafting wines that express the character of the vineyard with clarity and precision, particularly from old, উচ্চ-altitude sites across the Douro Superior and Cima Corgo.
The name Pormenor, meaning “detail,” reflects a philosophy centred on careful, thoughtful winemaking. In both vineyard and cellar, intervention is kept to a minimum—fermentations are carried out with native yeasts, extraction is gentle, and oak is used sparingly to preserve freshness, balance and purity.
In a region often known for bold, powerful styles, Pormenor offers a more restrained and refined expression of the Douro, producing wines defined by elegance, freshness and a strong sense of place.
