The Corkscrew Maiden Whiskey Voyage To The Harbourview Hotel - August 29th To 31st 2025

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have collaborated with the Harbourview Hotel for our first ever Whiskey Weekend away. If life is a journey, you won't want to miss this voyage. Bid farewell to August and join us for an unforgettable whiskey weekend away in Ireland’s first destination whiskey hotel, The Harbourview Hotel. 

We will set off from The Corkscrew on Friday August 29th and embark on a weekend adventure filled with whiskey, wine, food, tastings, excursions and live entertainment in the picturesque village of Carnlough, located on the east coast of County Antrim. Upon arrival we will be greeted by our host for the weekend, Adrian McLaughlin, the co-owner of the hotel.

Included in this weekend away are transfers to and from The Corkscrew, The Harbourview Hotel, and the island of Isaly to visit some Scottish distilleries for tours tastings and lunch. Two nights accommodation in The Harbourview Hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, lots of whiskey, a very special tasting of  some of the hotels whiskey collection.

The distilleries we will be visiting are Bruichladdich and Lagavulin.

Should the weather refuse to cooperate, alternative arrangements will be made for either a visit to some distilleries, pubs, and other tourist attractions in the local area.

Itinerary

Friday 29th
Pick up at The Corkscrew - Time 11:30am
Check-in at The Harbourview Hotel
Dinner with ½ bottle of wine per person
Private Whiskey Tasting at the end of the meal
Good Banter

Saturday 30th August
Breakfast before departure (to either Islay or local attractions depending on weather)
Bus transfer to the boat
Boat over to Islay
Bruichladdich tour, a tasting and lunch
Trip to Lagavulin
Boat from Islay
Transfer to Hotel
Gala Dinner with full bottle of wine per person
Whiskey to finish
Live entertainment by a local musician

Sunday August 31st
Breakfast
Transfer from the Harbourview Hotel back to The Corkscrew
