Remelluri Blanco is a project that was started by Telmo Rodriguez when he was young and his father wouldn't yet allow him to work on the flagship wine of the estate. Over time, this small side project blossomed into the highly reputed wine that it is today. The grapes come from some of the highest vineyards planted in Rioja. By using a large number of different grape varieties and ageing vessels, Telmo ensures that the wine speaks of the place rather than of any particular grape or process.
All of the grapes for the Blanco were hand selected in the vineyard. The wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts in wooden and cement tanks. It was then aged for 10 months in oak barrels of various sizes.
