  1. Kir Yianni Paranga 2016

    Kir Yianni Paranga 2016

    €16.95

Paranga is a refreshing and jammy combination: a supple Merlot in the background with a touch of a very spicy Syrah under the spell of a light and more easy-to-drink Xinomavro. Its light ruby red color and herbal undertones are alluring. Its remarkable acidity gives rise to a complex bouquet of cinnamon, clove, and green pepper, and a long finish. It is made to be consumed young. Serve it cool as an aperitif or along with barbeque and spicy food in general. Learn More
  2. Barista Pinotage 2017

    Barista Pinotage 2017

    €16.95

The Barista Pinnate has a burst of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with ripe nuances of mulberry, plum and Maraschino cherries. All the aromas follow through onto the palate and are enhanced by sweet aromas of vanilla and butterscotch. The wine has ripe luscious tannins and is ready to be enjoyed now. Learn More
  3. Château Musar Jeune Red 2014

    Château Musar Jeune Red 2014

    €24.95

No oak used here for the Jeune which is old vine Cinsault with some young vine Syrah and Cabernet. A spicy, savoury, smoky red with great fruit and friendly tannins, a great introduction to the Musar stable, produced since 2006 but the first time we've seen it in Ireland. Learn More
  4. The Chocolate Block 2015

    The Chocolate Block 2015

    €34.95

The Chocolate Block is is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier which differs from year to year. It is smooth, fine and balanced and has been a cult wine for many years now.

Explosive nose with great depth of spiced fruit and violet-infused perfume. Striking freshness on a firmly structured palate with elegant and supple tannins. Spicy oak aromas covering a rounded mid-palate that reveals layers of fruit with intense purity.

  7. Moulin de la Gardette Gigondas 2015

Moulin de la Gardette Gigondas 2015

    €34.95

Composed of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre and 10% Cinsault grapes from vines between 20 and 60 years old on the Moulin de la Gardette hillsides, at elevations from 100m to 300m. The crop is hand-picked (of course) and 100% destemmed but does not pass through a crusher, so that many of the berries ferment whole. The must is allowed to ferment at its own pace using just the natural yeasts to preserve the consistent Moulin de la Gardette character from one vintage to the next. The Cuvee Tradition is rich and luxurious with soft tannins and a long finish. It should drink well for the next five years or more. Learn More
  8. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2011

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2011

    €42.95

On the nose it is very true to form, showing deliciously sweet fruit nuanced with cloves, with a dried and spicy character. Typical Musar on the palate although with lots of youthful exuberance, very sappy and substantial too, richly imbued with structure. It is rather reticent in some respects, quite hard, withdrawn and peppery-spicy here Learn More
  9. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2004

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2004

    €64.95

A little reductive on first nose, quieter than the 2000 or 1998 showing dry herbaceous and cedary notes on top. The palate however opens up and the true wine shines through, juicy, sumptuous almost, Majool dates or plum jam spring to mind. A short heatwave just as harvest approached may explain this. Long life expected from this wine. We suspect this wine may just keep on giving for many years. Learn More
  10. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2000

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2000

    €67.95

The 2000 is a more traditional Musar we would say, the nose shows mature notes, cloves, spices, stewed plums, dates, almost relish like sweet & sour. The palate is dense, still lots of weight, richness (a little more Cabernet in the final blend) and time left in this wine, definitely our favourite at a recent tasting in early Nov 2015 Learn More
