  1. Yalumba Galway Vintage Shiraz 2016

    Yalumba Galway Vintage Shiraz 2016

    €17.95

This Shiraz shows all the hallmarks of a traditional Barossa red wine. It is deep in colour with crimson hues. There are aromas of mulberries, Black Forest cake and liquorice allsorts that speak of its varietal and regional origins. The palate is ripe and generous with flavours of mulberries, dark chocolate and hints of beetroot. It finishes with cocoa powder like tannins that give evenness and generosity to the wine.
A fine wine to be enjoyed now but will reward two to five years cellaring.
Best paired with pork and fennel sausages with caramelised onion and mashed potato. Learn More

  7. Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard, Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015

Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard, Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015

    €43.95

The Giant Steps single vineyard wines have slipped into the realms of Most Anticipated Releases of the Year. This is silken, seductive and extremely well powered – within its varietal context. It lingers with complex, almost sordid, flavour in the most intoxicating of manners. Dark cherries, wood spice, malt, liquid velvet, peanuts, crushed herbs and leaves as background influencers only. It’s generally reserved and yet it’s pretty keen to make a good impression too. Highly impressive. Learn More
  8. Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

    Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

    €58.95

"Quite a tarry, meaty and savory edge to this nose, really bold and assertive; it is nicely wound together and has bright red cherry and pink grapefruit aromas as well as a smoky, flinty note. The palate's supple, bright, lithe and fresh with red and dark cherry fruit flavor, red plums too. Plenty of acid crunch, clear whole bunch influence on both palate and nose, and web-like, deep, fine tannins; detailed, light and shade."

  9. Yalumba The Octavius Shiraz Barossa Valley 2004

Yalumba The Octavius Shiraz Barossa Valley 2004

    €99.95

Yalumba The Octavius has established a reputation as one of Australia's icon Shiraz wines, an amazing feat considering the first release was the 1990 vintage. In addition to being sourced from a number of very old vineyards in the Barossa, The Octavius is matured in American oak 'octaves' of 90 litres capacity. It is the only red wine in the world that is matured in such small barrels. The secret of the wine not becoming overpowered by the oak lies in the wood which is seasoned at Yalumba's own on-site cooperage for eight years before the octaves are crafted. Yalumba is one of a select few wineries in the world who boast their own coopers practising the ancient craft of barrel making

A renowned Barossa icon is Yalumba’s Shiraz The Octavius. 100% Shiraz, aged for 22 months in a combination of American barrels (coopered at Yalumba) and French 300 liter hogsheads. This beauty offers up aromas of sweet blueberries, black truffles, blackberries, melted road tar, pepper, and espresso roast. Full-bodied, powerful, and rich, with sweet tannin, decent acidity, and a superb finish, this is a wine to drink over the next 15 or more years.

  10. Penfolds St Henri Shiraz 2013

    Penfolds St Henri Shiraz 2013

    €120.00

A rare vintage of only shiraz in this wine, the sourcing is Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Wrattonbully and Clare Valley. A very handy vintage of this classically styled Penfolds red. Bright hearty fruit dominates amid earth, tar and dark nutty elements; boot polish too, really deep. The palate has seamless flow and build with immense concentration at play. Dark liquorice, blackberry and plum are swathed in deeply ripe, smooth but strong tannins. The finish holds and holds, with dark plum here too. Having terrific length and depth, this will go down as one of the greatest ever St. Henri releases.
