This wine opens with lush and juicy dark cherry, licorice spice and wild flower notes that lead into a brambly herbal savour with smoky earth tones. On the palate a satin textured dark mulberry and plum fruit appears with a succulent jazzy acidity lifting the gravelly fruit. A ferrous minerality runs through the palate leaving it savoury and moorish. Learn More

The bouquet opens with a pretty, rose-like perfume above tropical melon fruit salad. Beneath this, are layers of lime zest, fresh snow pea and capers, with subtle vanilla and toast from the elegant French oak. A dark ‘struck match’ element hints at the higher solids wild ferment portion in the wine. The juicy, pure fruit palate is underpinned by clean, driving acidity and layers of herbal and mineral nuances. It is succulent and textural, with impeccable length. Learn More

  7. Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard, Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015

Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard, Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015

    €43.95

The Giant Steps single vineyard wines have slipped into the realms of Most Anticipated Releases of the Year. This is silken, seductive and extremely well powered – within its varietal context. It lingers with complex, almost sordid, flavour in the most intoxicating of manners. Dark cherries, wood spice, malt, liquid velvet, peanuts, crushed herbs and leaves as background influencers only. It’s generally reserved and yet it’s pretty keen to make a good impression too. Highly impressive. Learn More
  8. Penfolds St Henri Shiraz 2013

    Penfolds St Henri Shiraz 2013

    €120.00

A rare vintage of only shiraz in this wine, the sourcing is Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Wrattonbully and Clare Valley. A very handy vintage of this classically styled Penfolds red. Bright hearty fruit dominates amid earth, tar and dark nutty elements; boot polish too, really deep. The palate has seamless flow and build with immense concentration at play. Dark liquorice, blackberry and plum are swathed in deeply ripe, smooth but strong tannins. The finish holds and holds, with dark plum here too. Having terrific length and depth, this will go down as one of the greatest ever St. Henri releases.
