  1. Vesevo Benevento Taurasi 2011

    Vesevo Benevento Taurasi 2011

Deep red in colour, with intense aromas of red berries. The wine is beautifully poised on the palate, with nice oak balance and a wonderful freshness. Learn More
  2. Meerlust 'Rubicon' Red

    Meerlust 'Rubicon' Red

Very deep, youthful colour, intense almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedar wood and intense spiciness. Still very young but brooding, promising further maturation potential. The palate is full bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins. Learn More
  3. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2011

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2011

On the nose it is very true to form, showing deliciously sweet fruit nuanced with cloves, with a dried and spicy character. Typical Musar on the palate although with lots of youthful exuberance, very sappy and substantial too, richly imbued with structure. It is rather reticent in some respects, quite hard, withdrawn and peppery-spicy here Learn More
  4. Yalumba 'The Signature' Cabernet Shiraz 2012

Yalumba 'The Signature' Cabernet Shiraz 2012

    Out of stock

A seductively aromatic wine, this is one of the very best Signatures. Opening with very cool, bright and almost fresh menthol aromas that merge with red currant fruits, tobacco leafy notes and cedary spices all supported with fine violet and cherry florals. A wine with great cellaring potential of 15 or more years.

Excellent ...The Cabernet and Shiraz grapes derive from old vine material in the Eden Valley and Barossa Valley. After batch-vinification the wine completes fermentation in barrel, followed by maturation in Yalumba-coopered new and seasoned American and French oak. It is typified by rich plum/dark chocolate/panforte aromas and flavours, dense, chalky tannins, superb generosity of fruit and underlying savoury oak. Learn More
  5. Massolino Barolo 2013

    Massolino Barolo 2013

Bright ruby-garnet in colour with an intense nose, perfumes of dark fruit and a touch of cloves with a savoury, herbal note. On the palate it is full-bodied yet elegant, with plenty of robust but ripe tannins supporting the dark, dried plum and autumn compote fruit character and balancing the acidity. Long and fine, with perfumes of roses and violets on the finish. Learn More
  6. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2004

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2004

A little reductive on first nose, quieter than the 2000 or 1998 showing dry herbaceous and cedary notes on top. The palate however opens up and the true wine shines through, juicy, sumptuous almost, Majool dates or plum jam spring to mind. A short heatwave just as harvest approached may explain this. Long life expected from this wine. We suspect this wine may just keep on giving for many years. Learn More
  7. Pio Cesare Barolo 2014

    Pio Cesare Barolo 2014

A classic Barolo in style. Great structure and balance, with soft, almost mild, tannins and beautifully ripened fruit. Approachable now, but it has a very long life ahead of it. While most of the attention at Pio Cesare goes to the Barolo Ornato, this is the hidden beauty in this lineup. This Barolo is a multi-commune blend. Most of the fruit (60%) comes from the less well-exposed portions of the family’s Ornato vineyard, while the rest of the fruit is sourced from plots in La Morra, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga, Novello and Grinzane Cavour. 8. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2000

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 2000

The 2000 is a more traditional Musar we would say, the nose shows mature notes, cloves, spices, stewed plums, dates, almost relish like sweet & sour. The palate is dense, still lots of weight, richness (a little more Cabernet in the final blend) and time left in this wine, definitely our favourite at a recent tasting in early Nov 2015 Learn More
  9. Château Musar Bekaa Valley 1998

    Château Musar Bekaa Valley 1998

A wine that's right now in a great spot, showing a savoury elegance, earthy, fresh and completely balanced with a silky slow burning tobacco, gamey, blackberry fruit finale. Learn More
  10. Nicolás Catena Zapata

    Nicolás Catena Zapata

"This has to be one of their finest. This has the intensity of the Catena Alta Cabernet and the verticality and austerity of the Adrianna Malbec. It has very good acidity and intensity, while it has some velvety tannins... A superb bottle of wine... Drink 2016-2023. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate"

    - 95 Points | Robert Parker The Wine Advocate.
    - 94 Points | Stephen Tanzer.
