Bordeaux: Chateau La Fleur Picon St.Emilion Grand Cru in Wooden gift box

Anita Lassègues and her daughter courageously took over the running of this vineyard when the head of the family died. Located northeast of Saint-Emilion on a siliceous-clay terroir with an iron dross subsoil, it has produced a wine with a slightly-developed colour and a bouquet of jammy fruit and prune aromas combined with some spice notes and a touch of menthol. The well-balanced, supple, round palate is supported by mature, silky tannins which give it a very classy finish. What more could we add to that?
