The 2010 vintage was the first year of conversion to organic farming. The vineyard currently covers just over 50 hectares including 17 ha leased, on the sunny slopes overlooking the Gironde. The average age of the vines is 30 years old vines up to 65. A basement clay and limestone soil gives the strong typicality, allowing the vines to fully express and produce concentrated wines and harmonious. It rests on a limestone table several metres thick and outcropping in different parts of the vineyard. The vineyard of Château Segonzac offers a fairly wide range of major grape varieties of Bordeaux.
