Gerard Tremblay Chablis 2009 half-bottle
€11.95The basic Chablis is unoaked from 10-30 year old vines grown on Kimmeridgean marl. Whistle-fresh with notes of lemon, ozone, wet stone and a typical melange of mineral, toastiness and beewax. Dry, light-bodied, but with a mid-weight sensation of red and green apples and skins mid-palate; The acidity bolts all the flavours into position and accentuates the richness and the length of the wine. Domaine des Aphillantes Cote-du-Rhone
€15.95Out of stock
A gorgeous bend of great Rhone grapes, Syrah (50%), Cinsault (30%), Grenache (20%). Grapes are hand-picked and distemmed before vinification. To keep the freshness of the fruit, both the fermetation and the ageing process is in tank. During the alcoholic fermentation, berries macerate for 12 days with their skins. The wine ages 6 months in a tank and it is filtered before being bottled. An unctuous, rich and beautiful wine with cherry aromas. 'Rouge Carmin' is a lighter wine made to be drunk younger than the other wines at the domaine. Learn More -
Chateau La Grolet Cotes de Bourg 2010

There is plenty of dark, savoury fruit with silty tannins promising to melt beautifully with any moist beef or lamb dish. Learn More -

Ciro Picariello Fiano di Avellino 2006
€26.95Out of stock
Campania is a Corkscrew favourite when it comes to white wine regions of Italy. Ten years ago that would have sounded crazy, but there it is. Fiano di Avellino might be our favourite Campanian white wine. The best Fianos we've had lately have been from Ciro Picariello, whose wines have finally landed on Irish shores. The wines are brilliantly made, minerally but densely flavoured (apple, white peach, hazelnut). We love it and we know we know you will too. Learn More -
Sybille Kuntz Riesling Gold-Quadrat Lieser Niederberg-Helden Spätlese dry 2009
€31.95Tropical aromas of ripe, yellow fruits like melon, pineapple and a bit of apricots in the nose, followed by honey and some vanilla. In the taste a very present peach and later cassis. The dry Riesling Spätlese from old vines tastes lively, "minerally", a great mouthfeel, layers and layers of complexity, creamy and gorgeously dry with a very long finish. Lip smackingly good. HRH Jancis Robinson adorned it with 18/20 points, referring to it as "very dense and tingly. So meaty and dry on the nose it really is rather like White Burgundy". Learn More
