This cuvée from Château Segonzac is their finest release, even though it is declassified from the Cotes de Blaye appellation. It is darker in colour and has a nearly opaque core. The nose is perfumed by restrained with blackcurrant, cigar and toffee characteristics present. Learn More

From Domaine de Trevallon comes one of the greatest and most unique wines of France. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, this wine balances unbridled richness with power and length. The red wine is a blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon and 50% syrah harvested and vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in small-sized stainless steel vats and in wood, which is used to carry out the "pigeage" or punching the cap with feet. Vatting lasts 2 to 3 weeks without temperature control and without yeasting. The wine is then aged for two years in small oak barrels. 2004 shows a return to a more classic vintage for Trévallon's red. Clean, delineated structure resulting from perfectly ripe stems provides ample ripe tannin levels to back up the intense fruit. This is a wine for the ages that will reward cellaring at least 7-10 years. Notes of tobacco, cigar box and bright cherry fruit in the nose followed by a wine with great depth, length and complexity.
