Maui is named after the Maori demi-god that walked between the earth and heavens. Maori legends tells of how Maui pulled New Zealand out of the sea.
A pale straw green colour with fresh aromas of lively tropical fruit, green peppers and lime. Fruity and floral along with a some wet slate, then a mix of softly sweet herb (basil and sage) and ripe citrus then a touch of gooseberry.
A fleshy palate delivers on the aromatics along with a fine acidity and minerality that gives the wine a crisp, refreshing finish. Zippy acidity is mellowed out by lovely ripe fruit. A little hint of ginger too. Long, dry finish with a touch of citrus pith and great overall texture.
