L'Ancienne Mercerie is a domaine covering 15 hectares located in the village of Antignac on the Faugères terroir. Nathalie and François Caumette are strongly committed to maintaining their domaine as a « small property capable of managing each detail of production from the vineyard to the vinfication cellar to continue to produce elegant, rich wines with an original style on a human scale, deeply rooted in their terroir. » Conversion to organic culture of their vineyard (certified by Ecocert) is an evidence for them rather than a fashion. On average, their vines were planted 25 years ago. Their Carignan vines are more than 50 years old. Half of their vines are pruned in Gobelet form. Yields are between 20 and 25 hl/ha. The wines of l'Ancienne Mercerie are 'made by hand.'
