Vincent Girardin St. Aubin 1er Cru 'En Remilly' 2007 half bottle

    €18.95

Lush, pure and generously open. Unforced, natural, beautifully pure and finishing with a deft touch of spices. The domaine is one of several that, in our view, have in 2007 surpassed the quality achieved in the previous vintage. Learn More
  2. Massaya Classic Red Bekaa Valley 2009

Massaya Classic Red Bekaa Valley 2009

    €19.95

  3. Montevertine Pian del Ciampolo 2009

    Montevertine Pian del Ciampolo 2009

    €21.95

There are approximately 10 hectares of vineyards at Montevertine planted almost exclusively to the Sangiovese grape. Small amounts of Colorino and Canaiolo are planted to supplement the Sangiovese. Some Malvasia is planted as well. Wine production at Montevertine is essentially devoted to three wines. The Pian del Ciampolo, composed of Sangiovese with a tiny amount of Canaiolo blended in, is the basic red wine of the estate. It sees 18 months of ageing in large barrels and is the most precocious of the wines. Learn More

  5. Max Ferd Richter Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett trocken 2009

Max Ferd Richter Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett trocken 2009

    €23.95

It has wonderfully bright precise fruit and the density of the fruit is well counterbalanced by the confident way the flavour seems to have been carved out of the raw materials. This would make a great bottle to convince doubters of the sheeer quality of Germany’s new generation of assertive dry Rieslings.

A magnificent steep south facing vineyard, the name ‘brown hill’ refers to the iron oxide colour of the slate soil. This iron rich ground produces wines that have a high mineral intensity with very pure fruit yet remaining elegant, Sonnenuhr is pocketed in the middle of the Brauneberg vineyard. It is well sheltered and with its proximity to the river the vines attract botrytis (noble rot). Learn More
  6. Wagner-Stempel Siefersheimer Riesling Trocken (Dry) 2011

Wagner-Stempel Siefersheimer Riesling Trocken (Dry) 2011

    €25.95

Lemon, lavender, ginger, pineapple, apricot, mirabelle, and toasted nuts are the headliners, informing a head-turning aromatic display and an infectiously juicy palate paved with stone. Gruner Veltliner-like suggestions of fresh green beans add to the intrigue of a piquantly and pungently herb-, spice-, apricot kernel- and crushed stone-tinged finish. This rather full, rich Riesling should be fascinating to follow for at least the better part of a decade.

  7. Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne half bottle

Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne half bottle

    €26.95

Fantastic texture, round and rich while at the same time great fruit and refreshing notes. According to Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, "In the mouth, the wine has structure, richness and length. It is a full, complex wine that is both modern and powerful, whilst remaining a great classic". We couldn't agree more, this is one of our firm favourites Learn More
  8. Munda Dao 2008

    Munda Dao 2008

    €28.50

According to John Wilson in the Irish Times (march 3rd 2012), "the palate is very structured with masses of dark fruits, distinctive dark chocolate notes, and excellent length. Very nicely balanced, if a bit young. Decant before serving, or keep a year or two, but well worth the money."

  10. Pegasus Bay Aria 2009

    Pegasus Bay Aria 2009

    €29.95

The Wine has a rich array of aromas and flavours. Impressions of peach and nectarine intermingle with those of guava, passion-fruit, lemon and lime. Honeysuckle and wild-flower honey elements are added by the noble botrytis. It is concentrated and powerful in the mouth but yet refined and elegant. There is a spine of minerality and lively acidity, providing a perfect foil to its lusciousness and drawing out its length. With careful cellaring over the next decade or two other fascinating nuances should develop, including apricot and mandarin-like flavours. Learn More
